This is really cool. I bought this on Ebay directly from Absu founder and former bassist/songwriter Equitant. This was the early 1992 issue of this neat little American fanzine. This was the true essence of underground Metal and this really shows you what things were like in the underground back then. Total DIY approach and lots of great bands featured here!

And that was back when only a few people knew who they were!

For sure. I’m old as well. I used to tape trade back in the early 90s when I was in high school. Such a unique time. The mailbox was a good friend. I heard of Timeghoul from Brian in Delusion who sent me their flyer. Good times.

I'm actually not that old. I'll be 34 in a few months. I do love reading and learning about the way things used to be before the rise of the Internet. A good friend of mine further up the peninsula in San Francisco is my senior by thirteen years and this guy has the most insane collection of zines, cassettes, CDs, and vinyls imaginable. He turned me into a zine maniac! I just finished reading the anthology of Frank Stover's now all-time classic German zine Voices from the Darkside which I absolutely love!

That’s awesome. I love hearing stuff like this. I used to write and do some art for a Sacramento zine called Subversive Agenda although I think it only ran maybe 10 issues. Haha. We interviewed Tyrant Trooper, Ancient Rites, Desolate and a ton of others. Timeghoul got reviewed and we thought they were rad because really only Nocturnus was doing sci fi themed shit like that.

And it's cool too because Timeghoul apparently turned into a very influential band and you can hear their influence in modern groups like Blood Incantation just to name one example.
