I think it has to be one of the goofiest pieces of band merch I've ever seen, but at the same time, it's ANVIL! It's actually a promotional thing that was given out to the press.

An-vil, A heavy block of iron or steel with a smooth, flat top on which metals are shaped by hammering.

The band was forged in 1978 which gives it pretty much grandfather status and there fore a source of inspiration for the bands that followed after it... how is the name anvil not cool like that ?

fanny packs are debatable whether their cool or not but the name is just awesome

Just saw Anvil last week and they are still selling the fanny pack. I agree that it a very uniquely Anvil piece of merch. But I just could not buy it.
