Nick Gilder - Frequency (Promo Copy)

Here in the States, Nick Gilder is a glorified one hit wonder, best known for his campy glam rock curio, “Hot Child in the City”. I never thought much of that song, so I never really cared to check Gilder out further. That is until the recent recommendation of some friends and stumbling upon this here album for the low, low price of $3. I only wish I had discovered this sooner. It’s a perfect fusion of glam rock androgyny, power pop hooks, and hard rock bite. Think a template for The Darkness’ Permission to Land 25 years beforehand!
