…A Dying Wish. Anathema - The Silent Enigma 1995. The gothic soundscape that this album creates is absolutely phenomenal, I remember hearing it for the first time and being in awe. I had it on repeat for months. Definitely helped me out from where I was at the time of listening to this record. So this one has a special place in my heart. 🖤 One of my favourite Anathema records after ‘Serenades’ (1993). In 1996 they headlined a bill alongside My Dying Bride which was shot on video and that performance is absolutely amazing. Two of my favourite bands on one bill. I later acquired the record for that live recording entitled “A Vision Of A Dying Embrace” and it’s one of my favourite live albums. “Just a delusion of silence…” 🥀
