Feature request: sorting the collection

Hi,

I'd like to open a discussion about a feature that I'd like to have in tshirtslayer.

When you upload your stuff, it's sorted in the order of upload. So in most collections all items are quite mixed up, shirts, patches, records. That's not so much of a problem in small collections or if you just want to browse through stuff. But if you are looking for something special, like only patches or certain bands it's getting more difficult, especially in big collections.

The basis of most collections is order. So I'd like to have some order in my TSS collection, too. Put all the patches together, and all shirts together, sorting them by band name and by record. Just like you do in you record collection. I think that would be an awesome improvement of this already great platform.

Is there no easier way to achieve a sorting, other than adding a field? Or, add an optional field for sorting, just a number, nothing complicated? What provied the sorting at the moment? The upload date? Can't this be manipulated in a field, optionally for everyone who bothers?

i know what u mean...it would be cool to sort the own collection per LP - CD - BOX..whatever..sometimes..i have to click throu my whole stuff - if the search function dont work with the bands name..haha

Also, I was not thinking about a search function through the fields and then applying an option. I would rather have the possibility to change the order in which the items appear in my account. You know, like pushing the fotos around and then decide in what order the visitors of my account can see them. At the moment people have to click through my whole stuff in order to find something. Dunno if the software allows this.

It would be a lot easier if you could click onto the profile and get an option to choose the band by name like on the starting page. The list will show the names of bands that the user possesses.

yeah I know but I thought that you could also just see the list of bands that the user owns. Something like you did on the "top 5 bands uploaded".

later, when you click on the band you'll get an option to click on the "shirts,patches,LPs..." (if the user owns some). I know there is time involved to work on it but that is just one of my ideas that could probably help the searching in some way.

Now a few of my uploads have multiplied. It looks like each one has been multiplied by the number of pictures in it, if that makes sense.

I can see the option "sort by" and then I can only choose title. But when I click on apply, nothing happens.

Working now! But only per session. If I return to my account it is back to date again. Can you make the order permanent? For all visitors?

Can't you make a dropdown-list "default sorting order" where the old sorting by post date is default and there are also title and year to choose from?
