I think this is a great Absurd hoody. I fucking love the death squad mixed with the images of dual MP40's and the gun that is next to the wolf...

I really don't agree with all of their songs, but they are one of the most barbaric hordes to have arisen in times of bickering over what is and isn't 'nsbm' and all this politically correct junk. I have zero respect for the Third Reich, in terms of the ideas and it's history, but within the Absurd lyrics, It's mostly about Wotan,Asatru, Germanic paganism, Heathenism, ideas of war, plague, death, seasons, traditions... and of course anti Judeo manifestos.

People get butt hurt simply because a band has a sun wheel in their logo. Of course much of their music is extreme and controversial to many, but I've only really encountered a few songs where they talk about racial superiority.....even so, I don't fucking care.Musically, Absurd shouldn't appeal to everyone, but there is no denying they are quite versatile...with their black metal work and their more Viking metal related work. Blood rivers, barbaric hordes and Wolven steel infernos...this is what I expect out of their music, not just fucking kid friendly lolipops and rainbows.

People will often look at a Sun wheel or any music/symbolism from Germanic or Scandinavian black metal bands/"NSBM" and go, "this is Nazi shit!" without doing the full research, true the musicians behind many projects might have Nationalist ideas, or agree with proto fascist heathen mentalities, but that doesnt = "Nazi" music....real nazi music completely reflects the third reich, music like fucking ‘Der Sturmer’, ‘Waffen SS’ or , ‘88’...or even Aryan Terrorism...The problem is generalizations are placed on any band that dares go into that realm of thinking pagan. It happens with: Graveland(Poland), Nokturnal Mortum(Ukraine), Drudkh(Ukraine),Evil(Brazil) Absurd(Germany), Moonblood(Germany), Satanic Warmaster(Finland),Abyssic Hate(Peste Noire(France) and even sometimes Drowning the Light(Australia) etc.. Of course, speaking out against christianity is fine, but the moment Judaism is questioned, everyone begins to get upset.....

Now, that aside...I don't stand for racism,racism is really a pointless path in life, which is one thing that has popped up in lyrics here or there from some of these kinds of bands. I strongly support pride for race,cultural heritage and hate under under the circumstance that there is a viable reason to take up arms, not just simply feeling hate for someone because they are different. I do not support pride at the hands of destroying others unless there is a credible reason to do so. All humans are equally worthless, skin color doesn't matter....we must get to know each others character, only then at the end of the day..will the truth be revealed and the real insects will show themselves to be crude and phony individuals, no matter what color their skin is.....

+1 to both of your essays, but for the sake of discussion(since this will probably be brought up), Satanic Warmaster(whom i love) does have that song "My Dreams of 8" which is clearly about Hitler, does that not point Satanic Werewolf Tyrant towards presenting NS views in his songs?

giving it a 2, i love Absurd, but i have never been a fan of merchandise that contradicts the band itself. Absurd has always cast a more primitive/viking age/medieval feel with their lyrics, logo, and cover arts; and placing the runes on the sleeves and then placing a modern looking guerrilla fighter esque dude with a .45 in his hand and then placing two MP 40's on the back breaks all form of atmosphere for me. but that's just my opinion.

im not going to add anything to the nsbm discussion except my earlier agreement with tico. That overall discussion has no end

I could see what you mean there, that's a really good way of wording it.... but as much as it is pagan, primitive and heathen, I'd also say sound wise it's like a battle,so in a sense, there is a "fighter" kind of attitude to it, maybe not a modern fighter, but yeah.... very violent...mind you, now that I think about it...that could easily be represented by a sword crest, or a pagan warrior with chain mail. or something else, but I'm also a sucker for guns...I won't lie, I don't support the German Wehrmacht from WWII or anything, but I like mp40's :/ not sure about the pistol, but I also like wolves so when those 2 are mixed, it's kind of interesting..aha...I should smoke more weed or drink more, my writing is always too long....alas ...all the whisky is gone.
