Question for fans of Megadeth and Metallica - or anyone else really. Lol....
I have a metal magazine (whch magazine escapes my brain at the moment) that is signed and marked up throughout by Dave Mustaine shortly after his fallout with Metallica.
Metallica is featured in the mag and on the cover. When my friend went backstage at the concert, he somehow got Dave Mustaine to sign the cover, and Mustiane continued to mark up the cover and inside feature mockiing Metallica. From this same show/incident I also have a Megadeth guitar pick and one metal star shaped rivet the fell off of Mustaine's guitar strap.
And yes, I need to photograph and post photos of these things, but that would take some digging to find them first. So I thought I'd ask here to see if these items are worth anything or worth the effort Do you think they are worth anything?
I'd appeciate any feedback you peeps can provide!

Not an expert in vintage stuff, but given the moment in time and content of Dave's writing that you're describing, I'd go as far as to call that a straight-up primary source to that moment in metal history, and would say its definitely worth a good bit to collectors, if you wanna part with it or not.
Legit awesome find either way, excited to see the hand-crafted slander😅

Thanks for your input on this matter! Lol! I guess I will definittely dig up that magazine and post it here. I seem to remember that Dave cleverly inked up the reference to his then foes as Metallic*nt. Oh boy!! Wonder if it could start up a new rivalry scandal on the metal front?? Hahaha!! I'm kidding of course.
I'll see if I can dig it up this weekend. I lost track of it when I went on a reorganization bender where I bought a bunch of like color and size plastic bins and sorted all of my goodies and memorabilia and stacked them all a mile high in the basement. That was about 10 years ago, so it will be a small project to get to that stuff. No sweat!
I bet I can figure out the exact date of that concert too whenever I get it all together and find the exact date of that mag. You know that Megadeth concert was the same concert hall that Heavy Metal Parking Lot was filmed. In fact, it preceded HMPL. Haha!! The good old Capital Center in Largo, Maryland. No longer there sadly. I saw my first ever concert there with my parents when I was like 8 years old. Kenny Rogers -1978 - The Gambler Tour. Oh yeah boy!! You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when to run.
Haha!!
Thanks again!

I’d say, it’s worth a pretty penny, i couldn’t put a price on it myself, but to the right collector, you could make some nice cash!
It’s a pretty unique, one of a kind, more than a signature type of thing, so whoever likes megadeth would kill to have something like that, especially considering it’s got dave being salty about the whole metallica situation. would love to see some pics of it!

I hope @deth1313 sees this. He’s a big Megadeth fan (look at his collection) I’m positive he would be open to buying the magazine from you.
It is definitely a collectors item and a piece that a diehard Megadeth fan would seek!!
