I get ya I just didn't think though the second bp I bought was for my main vest witch was a metallic a ride the lightning bp but changed it 4 months later cause I hated how much room they wasted the next one I got was a harvester of sorrow bp I kept that one on until I grew out my fan girl of metallic a moment which then led to the basic slayer eagle bp which has the title for longest time on my vest until October 4 th when I saw cannibal corpse and fan fell in a death metal phase I couldn't decide what bp I wanted though for can corpse so I bought 2 the first was the this horrific bp from they're site the second was from helps head bangers and comparing the 2 I like the helps head bangers one more it was a butchered at birth with the original logo great quality too but alas I was still in school and wanted to wear my vest slot and the school did not appreciate that beauty on my back (go figure) so chaos horrific it was which was still cool but not as good I kept that one on for a long time but fell in a brief maiden phase so I bought a iron maiden bp which I almost put on my main vest but instead put it on my vintage looking vest that bp was a caught somewhere in time bp but it at least got a spot on a vest better said then my motor head on that just sits around never used also got a cool mayhem bp but never was gonna put it on my Main vest, but for along time corpse grinders masterpiece was there until I went back to my thrash roots and finally got a permanent bp till it rips a vintage 1986 spreading the disease bp she was first on my jacket but she was too damn beautiful and I put her on the main vest but almost changed it to Judas priest killing machine but put that bp on where the iron maiden on was on my vintage bp which is now being replaced with a vintage 89 bootleg megadeth so far so good bp which is in a link below but yeah I regret not thinking it through better the first time cause it sucked to sow on and off and cost me money I could have saved up anyway sorry for this rant and no pics to go with each bp but each bp accept killing machine and motor head is on a picture on my account

My favorite one.. hard to say. My circle Anthrax State of Euphoira backpatch was a really fun and unique one, had it twice in my lifetime. for Megadeth stuff, maybe check facebook. i’m in quite a few patch groups and see many for sale. eBay is full of overpriced stuff. i would expect to pay $100 and under for a vintage one. best of luck with your search…

My first back patch is my first upload I ever made on TSS, which is a rare Killers bootleg BP. I bought it from the user Music4U at Graspop Metal meeting 2018. This back patch made me fall in love with vintage (back) patches and was the start of patch collecting and jacket making 🤘😗🤘

As there can only be one first back patch, I can't give you one absolute favorite so I give you a couple (in random order)

1) IRON MAIDEN - LIVE AFTER DEATH BP

I've always been a sucker for the vintage official Live after Death back patch. The first time I saw it, I was so determined to get it. The blue colors pop out like no

2) JUDAS PIREST - PAINKILLER BP

Priest is one of my all time favorite bands and to me the Painkiller album is the 'most metal' album out there. The music, singing, lyrics and of course the artwork scream pure metal. The official back patch captured the artwork with stunning precision, and it's an absolute masterpiece of a back patch. I still can't believe I own this masterpiece!

3) KING DIAMOND - FATAL PORTAIT BP

Fatal Portrait is one of my all time favorite albums, and I absolutely love the back patch. The flames burning the witch while she dead stares at you with her piercing blue eyes always mesmerizes me.

4) IRON MAIDEN - POWERSLAVE BP

The world slavery Eddie has always been one of my all time favorite Eddies. It is such an intense image, and this vintage bootleg perfectly captured it. I love the color scheme and to me it's one of those vintage bootlegs that is actually more exciting and beautiful than most official Maiden back patches.

5) NINKHARSAG - DREAD MARCH OF SOLEMN GODS

Iron&Ash is my favorite patch distro, and when they released a back patch of my 2021 album of the year, I knew I had to get my hands on it quickly. I'm happy I did because this piece is an absolute stunner! The colors and details are pure perfection and in my opinion of of Iron&Ash's their best production so far.

My first BP was Anthrax In My World. That song has so much meaning to me and I needed the BP. Unfortunately I sold it last year because i I really needed money.

My favorite BP at the moment would have to be my vio-lence eternal nightmare BP. Saw them play the album in its entirety this year and the current guitar player Mario Salcedo follows me on Instagram! Who knows maybe insecurity will be the guitar player for vio-lence in the future hahaha.

Although not relevant to your question, I would love to see some Dark Angel BP’s and a Jason Becker perpetual burn back patch. God I love that album. Motivated me to become a better guitar player haha

Dark Angel for some reason.. was snuffed when it came to merchandise. 4 extremely solid albums back to back essentially, and only 1 patch from way back when, aswell as a few shirts. A pretty large player in the metal scene too… never made sense to me.

Comparatively, a much smaller band like Broken Bones, had a backpatch or two made. Atrophy - who are similar in popularity, had a plethora of merchandise from their time. Don’t know why Dark Angel never got the love, they were featured on the Ultimate Combat tour too..

Eric Meyer’s mom screen printed all the dark angel merch up until the leave scars tour. Thats when the shirts started to have the copyright of “zebra 89”. I believe this strongly impacted them in merchandise. After the leave scars tour they only did one more album and one more tour and they broke up.

Pfoef, when I was a kid I had a jeans jacked with a HUGE Sepultura Chaos AD backpatch.
Small Obituary, Bolt Thrower, Carcass, and Slayer patches were present too.
Still regret chucking away this jacket 30 years later :(

First one was a Cradle of filth - cruelty and the beast backpatch... still have it for sentimental reasons.
Personally i love the Type o Negative Orchestra of doom backpatch and the Devil's blood one.
