Hey everyone,
I'm opening this discussion because i'm looking for speed metal bands to discover. In fact it seems that only a few are known to me while it is the most awesome metal genre. I know that what defines speed metal is more or less subjective but here are the bands I know and consider as speed metal:
- Agent steel (of course!!) and pretty much every Cyriis bands (sceptre, black reign etc and the fallowing bands he's been in)
- Savage Grace
- Abattoir
- Exciter
- Forbidden
- Heathen
- The two first Omen albums
- Helloween's Walls of Jericho album
Then of course the modern band Evil Invaders
They are not much but I have almost every album and ep of each band and would really like to discover other band as awesome !
So if you have names or as for Omen and Helloween, some albums that you consider as speed metal, please hit me up with it !
Cheers brothers!

I definitely wouldn't count Unveiling the Wicked speed metal, neither Razor on Evil Invaders and onwards, definitely not Living Death on Protected from Reality... Of course there are dozens of borderline thrash/speed bands and records like Iron Angel, Holy Terror (the debut), early Razor etc., and that's why I save the term speed metal for the ones that are definitely not thrash, like Agent Steel, ADX, H-Bomb, Rotor (HUN), Astaroth (ITA), with cleaner vocals with actual melodies in them & more lead guitars.

-Final Prophecy - Beyond Reality Demo
-Jester's March - Not really Speed Metal, but very comparable to Helloween, Scanner, Abraxas, etc. especially on their Audience to the King demo (has the vocalist from Scanner's Hypertrace) and Beyond. Absolutely great pieces of Metal right here!
