I know obviously that it means they’re made in England, but I was wondering if anyone has any more info about these types of patches. Is the “made in England” stamp specific to a certain manufacturer or were there several companies who used it? Also, I’ve only ever seen it on older (80’s and 90’s) patches, so when did they stop making them?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, this is my first forum post
Hi, welcome to the forum. ;)
This "Made In England" stamp/marking comes in a small variety of colours (white or yellow) and shapes. It's pretty hard if not impossible to determine if it was used by a certain manufacturer or by many, but the latter seems to be most probable, since it had become some sort of a motto to be found on various supports (pins, etc).
Personally I have only found it on patches dated from 1989 to 1993.
