Hello Everyone! i enjoyed listening to Iron Maiden Seventh Son of a Seventh Son my favorite Songs is Moonchild and The Evil That Men Do
so pick your Favorite Iron Maiden Songs that you like?
This is a near impossible task π I think most people have several favorites. Here are mine π
- Phantom of the Opera (probably my favorite Live song. It works so incredibly good)
- Murders in the Rue Morgue (they opened with this song in 2005...what a killer song!)
- Stranger in a Strange Land (That solo by Adrian Smith π)
- The Prophecy (Those vocals!! Can't think of a song where Bruce sounded better)
Don't ask me in three weeks because I will give you a different answer π Maiden has so many incredible songs. No matter what other stuff I listen to, eventually I come back to Maiden.
I Owned some Maiden Albums they're not in Order but i'll buy their Albums again.
the only maiden albums that i have is Seventh Son, Caught somewhere in Time, The Book of Souls and Senjutsu.

- Another Life (m'eh, what you gonna do! Bought Killers the day it came out in 81 and this was my favourite track)
- The Number Of The Beast
- Aces High
Plenty of others I could add, but these three get the blood pumping
"For the Greater Good of God" is the one that keeps coming back into my day-to-day train of thought. Not only is it a great, multi-faceted take on myopic fundamentalism, it also has been the hugest of joys to witness live. I'm not sure if it actually is my hands down favorite, but it's certainly crawling its way to the top.
I really like the AMOLAD. For the Greater Good was definitely a highlight of their 2006 tour playing the whole album. I was very surprised when it popped up during the Legacy 2018 shows, but it was a very pleasant surprise. Great pick! π€
Most of all, it was a pleasure to see them pick not just the eternal fan favorites. I can certainly do without the umpteenth hasty "Sanctuary" performance. Give me "The Edge of Darkness" instead, for example, and be as gloomy and doomy as you can. Leave on a weird encore note, or even better yet, just let everyone go absolutely ape by doing Alexander the Great already!
Agreed! That's why the 2005 show was such an absolute banger... so many old songs like Another Life, Drifter, Remember Tomorrow, Murders in the Rue Morgue, Die with your Boots On...and I'm afraid we will never see any of those anymore.
They did play the Afraid to Shoot Strangers in 2012 during the Maiden England tour. That one was a major surprise, and I was very happy to hear that obscurity.
Edge of Darkness would be very interesting with Bruce on vocals. Alexander must be played this year. If they don't do it this year, it will surely never happen. A little bird told me that in conversation with Nicko, he said they rehearsed the song for the Legacy tour, but decided not to play it. We are so close π€ππ€
If I have to pick one veryobscure song for Maiden to play, I would really love to see the Innocent Exile. I always loved that song a lot.
Have Maiden ever done a gig where the fan's choose the songs in advance by web poll or something like that? That would be an interesting set-list I'd imagine!
Not that I know off. It would be a great idea, but somewhere I have the feeling that many will vote for the classics we have seen countless of times. I would only vote for the songs I haven't seen live or only once π
They played it on the A Matter of Life and Death, A Matter of the Beast and Maiden England tours, but after that not. It's about time. It's an absolute banger and works really well live.
Hell yeah! π Too many if you ask my girlfriend π I have multiple tour shirt from the tours I went to, some from sweaters, as well as some vintage shirts. Maiden has arguably, the most awesome mascot in all of music. Many of the 80's designs are absolute classics, and even to this day really cool designs come out. Check out this one for example (https://tshirtslayer.com/tshirt-or-longsleeve/book-souls-35).
