Hey I came up with a cool idea about a year ago one night sitting on my porch and it's very fitting for 2020 seeing as I think its futuristic... it's not an original idea but I've never seen it done with a band patch before, I'm gonna post it here so others can use the idea and maybe create something cool, it's called lenticular clothing and basically in layman's its creating a patch that would move and the picture would change color or design as you move around, one quick google search for lenticular clothes would show you what I mean... I'd like to tell some celebs on the internet about it but I'm trying to get the word out anywhere cause I want to see this done, not sure which part of the forum this would fit in... but I hope I made the idea clear so others can think on it, thanks guys :D

I love the idea

Interesting, I'm on the fence with it. I'd love to have some action shots from a few movies as the design, like ED-209 shooting, or the Smartguns firing in the Alien hive in Aliens.
Gotta be careful with an idea like this, people could go off the deep end and just make crappy designs!

I agree, if the ONLY thing about the patch it this new fabric, then it has the potential to be a novelty. Like I wouldn't think updating old album covers with little animations would work that well, but newer bands who create art with new technology in mind might have some cool ideas. Also like the movie scene idea! That Aliens patch would be sick lol.

Yeah I was thinking like some bands just have random art patches that aren't album covers like my first thought was you could have like a goat holding a flamethrower and the flames shoot in and out of it as you move it around that would look fab, maybe old bands could make trippy patches for new albums... I'm thinking alot of deathcore bands would be into it like archspire has glow in the dark shirts and stuff

Should add just like patches for an era of an album not neccesarily the main album art patch design

I remember I had some pins with this effect when I was a kid. Also Iron Butterfly had this type of cover. If I inderstood correctly.
