The backing seems period correct for patches from the 1990s, it's definitely vintage but may not be an official Iron Maiden Holdings patch. Maybe our resident expert HeavyMetalChemist can enlighten us haha.
this is a vintage patch from the 90s, but design is from the 80s.
the original and harder to find patch was the first issued “beast on the road ‘world tour1982’” for the very famous beast on the road tour.
the patch was then released without the “world tour 1982” in the mid 80s and sold officially via mail orders, record stores or anywhere you got patches from.
like most designs from the mid 80s, they were produced in more batches in the early 90s. the border being pulled about 85% back from the marrow machine settings makes me believe this is 90s.
