Around 7 months ago I saw some dude in Home Depot with a Cannibal Corpse Eaten Back To Life Shirt!!!
I threw metal like a fucking maniac.
Aside from that not too much. Last year I saw a guy with a Power Trip shirt at the local fair where I live.
Good forum idea too.

We have one guy in my town wears a different slayer shirt everytime I see him but he does NOT like to be bothered or spoken to.
A man in a Sabbath shirt and looking like he crawled out of the 70s barely saw me wearing a Slayer tank and we both sorta noticed each other at the same time and started howling and throwing horns. I heard him even after my back was turned shouting SSLLLAAAYYYYEEER down Boston common

Just a guy with a morbid angel tour tee at the coles. like many in his mid 20's. I cant remember what I was wareing but he was like nice tee.. and I said "same goes" then a quick "did yo like the show" and then back to shopping.

Had a customer at work wearing an Emperor shirt; He seemed as surprised as me to meet another fan around here!

Last school year at parent's day a father comes to talk to me about his son he wore a suit with a slayer shirt.
ThomasThrash on
Dude that’s awesome!

Father had the Slayer shirt, his son had bad grades in my class and he simply wanted to ask why, but started laughing as he saw, that I was wearing a Mantar-Shirt

Hahaha nice one ! When I was 13 my math teacher who was a fan of classic rock and metal always had a nice thing to say about my metal t-shirts and nothing good to say about my math skills lol !

Seen a guy in a patch jacket walking along my street a few times recently, not a regular occurrence despite it being a pretty busy street! Standard London avoidance of eye contact though.

Not nowadays but one story has always remained in my memory.
Back in the nineties i wore my machine head "fuck it all" shirt at school. A teacher came to me and said that shirts with such expressions are not welcome and are undesirable at school. I didn't really care, but the cool thing was that the school principal's son passed us with the exact same shirt! The face expression of this stupid teacher was priceless as you can imagine :) After that the topic was of course settled and the story went around everywhere. A week later, all of the school's metalheads wore exactly this shirt on the same day. We laughed ourselves to death...;) Those were good times!
And EMP sold good merch buy the way...;)

Some random girl at my work wearing a very OG and I must assume quite valuable Effigy Of The Forgotten shirt... wonder what that was about.

seen 5 or 6 people wearing Iron Maiden shirts, 2 people wearing Metallica shirts, 3 people wearing GnR shirts, 2 people wearing Ghost shirts
BloodFireDeath on
Unfortunately the most I see around my town is (usually younger) people wearing what I call "wal-mart metal shirts". The same ten dollar The Trooper and fake vintage Metallica shirts. The most metal things I've seen around here was a guy in Morbid Angel t-shirt at the grocery store (design with the Gargoyle demon stepping on the cross) and a crusty looking guy on the street wearing a Serpents of the Lights shirt.
Kind of a far stretch but when I visited Germany a couple summers ago it was insane! It was like everywhere I went there was like at least five metal people. The ones that caught my attention the most were a guy in a Razor Violent Restitution shirt walking around and a dude with a Rotting Christ Thy Mighty Contract shirt at a restaurant!

Most of the people I see wear normie bands, the typical Metallica, Guns N Roses, etc. I'm pretty much the only one wearing "interesting" merch (I'm wearing my Whiplash Power and Pain shirt as I'm typing this) though I do have a few sightings.
Years ago, I saw some guy wearing a Metal Church tour shirt at a produce place (why I didn't talk to him is beyond me), and another guy at a buffet wearing a King Diamond tour shirt. More recently, I saw a guy at Target with an Exodus shirt, and occasionally my friend wears his Overkill shirt (but idk if that counts though)
And idk if it counts but at record stores I see some guys wearing awesome shirts. One guy was wearing a Cro-Mags Age of Quarrel shirt and another had an Oz Fire in the Brain shirt. Was awesome to see
nameless_rites on
No, but a few weeks ago I saw Greg Gutfeld on Fox News wearing a Power Trip t shirt under his blazer while talking to Tucker Carlson (seriously).
I see plenty of metal shirts around here, but its all trailer park bullshit like Five Finger Death Punch, Pantera, Lamb of God etc

Aside from rarely seeing kids wearing a Metallica or AC/DC shirt every once in a while, I haven't seen anyone wearing anything... Only last year, if I remember correctly, I saw a guy wearing a very used Summoning shirt.
Jonathan666 on
I saw recently a very young guy wearing a used Morgoth shirt.
andermatten on
bit off topic, but last time I saw something pretty notable was a six or seven-year-old wearing a beastie boys check your head shirt. wish I knew where his dad got that, I've been scouring the internet for ages..
back on topic: a few years ago this quite distinguished and groomed looking dude walked past wearing a really neat napalm death logo shirt at my local supermarket

I saw a local kid in Jakarta who couldnt have been older than 9-10 wearing a child size Limbonic Art t shirt
Jonathan666 on
Damn, that lucky little fucker! Limbonic Art shirts are very rare!
Mate, just out of curiosity, what album was it on that kid's shirt? Moon in the Scorpio or what?
nameless_rites on
It was Moon in the Scorpio but im certain it was a bootleg, they have tons of tshirt bootlegging there as the area is big for textile and clothing factories so its dirt cheap. Theres also a big metal scene so youll frequently see Gorgoroth, Absu, Burzum, Suffocation etc shirts on random people. I used to make my own prints there too
Jonathan666 on
Hmm, I see...
Well, lucky them, those people living there. I mean, even if they wear bootlegs, at least they have them, and they can purchase them at a low price. Still, maybe that kid didn't even know who Limbonic Art were, ha ha!
Actually, the reason I was curious about the shirt the kid was wearing is the fact that I ordered a longsleeve with Moon in the Scorpio in the middle of August this year from a Ukrainian company which claims to produce original shirts with official licence from the band and etc, and I haven't received it not even today! So I've been a Limbonic Art fan since the end of the 90s and I still didn't get the LS I paid for, but that 10-year-old kid has a shirt with them. I listened to Limbonic Art for twice his lifespan, for more than 20 years, but that kid has a shirt with them, not me! Imagine how that makes me feel, if you know what I mean...

Yeah Musical Hall sucks, those dipshits fucked up my order too. They probably sent it to the wrong address, wouldnt be the first time.

Saw this tiny blonde woman walking into Walmart wearing a Cannibal Corpse tank top. She looked as straight laced as they come so it was really interesting that she chose that shirt to wear!
Chab on
Maybe was straight laced? Its trendy to wear these now in USA
Susinko on
Ew. I hate trends like that. Wear what you love, not what is trendy. I'm kinda hoping that she's actually into extreme metal or just metal in general.
Unjustifiablexi... on
Met a guy at a parking lot wearing a LIK zipper.. I was wearing almost the same one so I went to talk to him. That's a month ago and now we are starting a band haha
OmeletteDuFromage on
Over here in France good metal shirts are rare, apart from the mandatory, occasional Metallica/Cannibal Corpse/Iron Maiden shirts you see from time to time, not knowing if wore by a metalhead or someone who bought them mindlessly at a clothing store.
You might see a few Gojira shirts, as it's a french band.
Lot of emo/metalcore/punk-rockish shirts though.
Last time at a bus stop i saw a guy with a battle vest with a few patches though, noticed Unleashed and Bloodbath. I think it might've been the most underground band merch I've seen outside of metal shows and bars

Saw a guy wearing a Gojira shirt at Walmart one time
