This is 100% finished. I don't change or alter anything. If do feel the need to work on something,I just start a new project. My next one will be an old vest I took apart because it was falling apart. I was able to save most of the patches.
I fully agree man. This battle vest is killer! No need to change anything π I'm the kind of person who makes a vest and then moves on. We all know a perfect vest doesn't exist and by changing one patch for another then the neighboring one is not 'perfect'. I don't want to end up in that viscous circle π
I'm looking forward to that vest man! π€ππ€ It is already a '5 Flamer π₯' for the idea. Even here in the Netherlands I haven't seen a Dutch dedication vest π
Man this is awesome. Black and white kuttes seem to feature either crust or black metal, so one that has an emphasis on speed is really neat to see! You did a great job on this thing, that studding must have taken days to complete. I dig the studded BP as well hahaha
Thanks!
Yeah, the studding took a long time. I've been working 6-7 days every week this last year and have had little time to put into it. I started it in August. I would have had it done sooner, but impaled my finger with a precision pen knife. Cut me to the bone like a hot knife through butter.
Dude i dont know what to say... This vest is stunning! The Color Scheme is so good and even though the Bands are so different, it just feels like it has to be exactly as it is.
Brillant work!
Thank you. I will have a Dutch themed vest in the works and then my next creations will be coming with color themes. For this I will be challenging myself. The Dutch vest is a tribute to the Dutch troops and also Thomas Wouters from BodyFarm, who was my friend. I have patches from him when I met him on 70000tons of Metal cruise. This vest will be personal for me to make. We had been friends for some years and was able to finally meet him on the cruise. About 6 months later he died. We had discussed Eindhoven Metal Meeting. That was our last communication before he passed away.
Funny story kinda: So before the cruise Craig from Forbidden was selling official Forbidden shirts and Thomas wanted a 'Twisted Into Form' shirt, but shipping was high,so he massged me to ask me if I could get him one. BodyFarm was playing the cruise,so hell yes!! I got him one. Now in Miami it's hard to find a MetalHead in a sea of MetalHeads haha. We were on different time schedules. So on the cruise we were to meet up and even that was difficult. On international waters, most people don't have cell phone service. I was on an elevator going from one of the decks to another and just missed him and we yelled to each other . Finally on the 3rd day,we saw each other. Went to his cabin and had beers and exchanged patches and shirt. He was with Roman HΓΆdl(Promotoer with Eindhoven MM,Vienna MM,Stockholm Slaughter)
That was a good time there to hang out with those guys.
Thanks. I have a Dutch tribute i'm doing next. I will call it 'Dutch Oven'
It will have many studs as well. After I finished this one,I needed a break from creating. This is when I just go with the 'thinking' phase of starting a new vest. That part of it takes the longest. Then I do layout. After layout,I do measurements. After measurments,I take a while to start the sewing and studding. The reason for this is because I want everything to be precise and exact. It takes me far longer than everyone to make something like this because I work 6-7 days a week at work and it's hard to put many hours into it within a short while. Also I'm super picky about acceptable errors. You can see a few on my vest where studs are not lined up correct. Most of the time that annoys me. I have to add studs and then stop for a bit. When I stare at the same project too long while working on it is when I lose the pattern. I take a break, walk away, take photos and then go over what I have added at work. I think best when I'm at work,so I like to look at the photos and see if changes need to be made. Then come home from work and start again or make changes.
I hope your idea is not to wear it without washing to end up smelling like a Dutch oven π€£π€£π€’
I see you carefully plan your projects. Even if it takes long, judging also this vest, it definitely pays off. I don't plan like you do. I ask my girlfriend to help me a bit with designing. Makes my life much easier π
Even when saying it sounds really horrible and disgusting π .... I'm looking much forward to your 'Dutch Oven' π€ππ€
one thing I want to point out about this kutte is the Fatal Curse patch. Those guys are friends of mine and it was a must to have their patch on there and have Mercyful Fate pin and King Diamond button to go with it. They named the band after 'Curse Of the Pharaohs' and 'Fatal Portrait'
Aslo patch was made by another friend,Patchmaster Mandilas.
Can't say it often enough... i think this one is my favourite vest on the Planet.... i saw it a while ago in a Facebook Group and it totally changed my view on battle vests. Color scheme, arrangement and also the band selection got me like 100%
My own vests (and the ones i am planning;) wouldn't be the same without the Inspiration i got from you man
Thanks for this vest dude

I love Black and White vests, so bleak, so much attitude. I dig the studs in the Sodom logo too.
One of these days I'll make one, 'not sure when.
