Iron Maiden The Clairvoyant’s blue Battle Jacket, November 2019

Lots more work on my blue (main) battle jacket since the last update.

All the pockets are still working and includes velcro fastenings on the bulgy inside pockets and a custom fitted phone & cash pocket on the inside left as well as a lanyard for attaching keys & keeping my ear plugs at hand.

I’ve even managed to squeeze in my TShirtSlayer supporters’ red-border logo patch. ;-)

Lanyard + inside pocket are brilliant!
Good place for TShirtSlayer right front side. I was wondering wether we all should give it the same place :)

Never seen a battle jacket with a lanyard. What's the purpose of it on yours?

My ear plug case is permanently attached to the lanyard, so I can always find them as the lights dim and I also use the clip to attach my keys to so they don’t go missing no matter how intense the pit gets...! ;-) It’s a more useful accessory than you might think.

The same goes for the inside pockets, having somewhere to stash small items of merch (I’ve even got a couple of t-shirts into the bulgy pockets on more than one occasion) and cash, cards, phone, Sharpie, etc has proved to be essential at pretty much every show I’ve been to.

I like having a jacket that’s practical as well as metal! \m/

Nice! Pretty practical!

Cool patches! The McGyverish Lanyard/Inside Pockets Combo is top :D

Ha! Thanks. It definitely comes in handy, even if practicality isn’t the coolest feature! ;-)

Lots of cool stuff on here!

Are those Carolus Rex and The Dark Saga patches printed or woven?

The Clairvoyant's picture

Thank you!

They’re both woven. The ‘Carolus Rex’ patch is an official one from Sabaton’s online shop a couple of years ago, although I think they’ve stopped making them now. The ‘Dark Saga’ patch is a bootleg but a particularly nice one (as many are now!).

The only printed patches I have on this jacket (other than the BP, obviously) is the Blind Guardian ‘Beyond the Red Mirror’ under the right arm and the Toxic Holocaust logo.

Awesome taste in bands, especially Seven Sisters and Traveler. Great ideas for the inside too! May have to do that on mine.

Thanks! They’re certainly two particular favourites of mine right now. Seven Sister’s ‘The Cauldron and the Cross’ is my absolute favourite album of 2018. \m/

Both quite recent discoveries for me but both awesome. So much good stuff in a similar vein coming out right now. It's a good time to be a metal fan!

The Clairvoyant's picture

Absolutely! I’ve discovered so many new bands in the last few months I barely have time to listen to them all! \m/
