Even better. I have a decent book and vinyl collection myself , as you said collected over 30 years. I love seeing pics of peoples collections.

I have it insured under the house insurance but it's hard to put a value on it.
And that's even more impressive that you've collected all that in only seven years.

Don't know how it is in your countries but here you can get it insured, pay the insurance premium, and if something ever happens to it you'll be fucked because the company will ask for proof of the value before they pay out anything.
You'd have to get the collection appraised or keep a catalogue of everything you got, with photographs and details of the pressings, links to auction sites etc. Almost impossible for a collection of underground music.

Yes it's pretty much the same here and in all honesty it probably has more sentimental value to me that actual appraised value.
I mean I can go to record fairs these days and pick up half the cd's I have for $1 each whereas I probably paid $20-$30 each at the time.
