Metallica at Vancouver with my girlfriend!

So, only one more band to go and I will have seen the big 4. Honestly, out of the big 4 I really only like Metallica and early Slayer...and in terms of thrash metal, I know many bands that are consistently better( *hint* one of them is on my shirt, can you guess?..not sure if it's visible in the photo >.>) But that being said, I have an insanely large amount of respect of Metallica and what they did in thrash. "..And Justice for All" Was the last album I truly loved all the way, but even the self titled is good, not great..but a solid effort! Needless to say, I got some great pics and my girlfriend really likes Metallica , so I took her to the concert and got her a shirt :D

They might be old, but just like Iron Maiden or Motorhead...Metallica is one of those fucking bands, that know how to put on a great show!

They mostly played older material, a little bit from Death Magnetic and did a classic shout out for 'Metal up yer Ass'. All round it was a good show, too bad Rogers fucking arena sucks shit and was way too warm...not enough water and the beer was overpriced. Other than that, good time!

*Highlights*- One, Creeping Death, Sex Doll being thrown on stage, Coffins, Master of Puppets, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Cyanide, Seek & Destroy, Jump in the Fire, Enter Sandman, getting a free quality joint from an old timer who thought my ___ shirt was awesome, Headbanging with some dudes and my girl to Ride the Lightning, my girlfriend wearing my vest and getting comments just for laughs, ..And Justice for All, The Struggle Within, Kirk guitar solo, Holding my girlfriend really close a few times, Battery and having an all round fucking good time!

Pic 11- The song Battery wrapped up and then they began "..And Justice for All" they built up this scales of truth statue while the song was playing, it was pretty fucking epic.

Pic 14- Finale before the encore songs and a tribute to "Metal up Yer Ass"; James and the band had everyone fooled that there was someone hurt? or something on stage, everything was falling apart and toppling down...but then I guess we were trolled. I was a bit skeptical, but after how convincing it seemed, I really did think someone got fucked over!
