    As said I was referring to black metal overall, but used Darkthrone metaphore. And Darkthrone were early singing about the forest, northern darkness etc etc. Aswell as the idea of black hair, corpsepaint. Of course people have done it before, But not used it in the same way.. Emperor just took that thing. But just like all bands, of course you develop your own style in some way. For example I haven't found many bands that sound like Emperor musically.

    Hahaha. First of all, you say that you dislike Emperor because they are "wannabe Darkthrone" and that they "joined this thing much later"... Unlike Watain, who you are apparently a big fan of. Secondly, Emperor weren't a force against Christianity?? Samoth went to prison for the burning of Skjold Church in 1994. I'd say that the burning down of a historic church is a much bigger "force against Christianity" than a few blasphemies in an obscure black metal album.

    Most of those lyrics do. If you write that you worship for example Pan. Of course you attack christianity since it doesn't approve of it. In that way I would say Emperor are okay. I stated the wrong thing. What I meant was that they copies This thing without soul. If We look at Watain(relevant example since they are One of the few true bands today) their lyrics are about spiritual freedom. And yet they sing songs about the biblical tale of Qain. Because they have a Reason. They seek power in Qain the first born murderer. Emperor didn't look for achieving something. :) Okay?
