I'm an 18 year in Belleville, ON, and the two entities that fuel my existence are extreme metal and cannabis. As is with most metalheads, I have a well rounded appreciation and favorite bands across all the subgenres. With that said, my library is lacking a bit in heavy/traditional/thrash metal, but much richer in black, death metal and grind .Specific subgenres that I hold a certain affinity to are Slavic Pagan Black Metal and Brutal Slamming Death Metal.
Top Favorites: Marduk, Belphegor, Nargaroth, Dodsferd, Sargeist, Kroda, Nokturnal Mortum, Temnozor, Make a Change... Kill Yourself, Thy Light, Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Decapitated, Putrid Pile, Devourment, Dehumanized and Vulvectomy
My time is mostly consumed by listening music, smoking, reading, and making death metal. Part of my my appreciation for black metal comes from it's ideological richness, in which in many cases there's something to contemplate and inquire on. History, warfare, genocide, nihilism, misanthropy, individualism, naturalism, paganism... all valued concepts that black metal has introduced, interested, or enriched me in some way. It would be a lie to say it has had no impact on my way of thought and life outlook.
