Im pretty sure the year of this patch is 1988 (from seeing others on the site) but for some reason the date is missing from mine???!

I believe these are being exclusively sold through NWN and Iron Bonehead. Wouldn't expect them to be sold during their South American tour, so I would suggest ordering one to avoid missing out on it.

Never saw a Iron Maiden trademark ending with 'INC.', my Wasted Years Patch says: "(C) 1986 IRON MAIDEN HOLDINGS LTD", like all their originals.
Nevertheless, killer patch!

The year of this patch is 1986, not 1988. I guess, this is not an original, or an reprint! I know there is a guy in UK, who remake this patch and sell it for a lot of bucks at egay!

I don´t think so. In fact I believe that this is the first issue of the patch. In 1986 Maiden started putting copyrights on woven patches. There weren´t any on the Powerslave patches. Seems they needed some time to get clever with the phrasing and started with a short copyright.
Bootlegs in general hava a weaker printing quality and a different kind of cloth.
Apart from that this version was sold
by TonyV, he always has first issues that he bought at the concerts where the patch was introduced.
