This is definitely one of the most amazing Backpatches imaginable ! Favorite!
Could possibly a choice for me if it wasn't for my Manilla Road Backpatch.
By the way, judging from your taste (Lizzy, Hawkwind, Budgie, Rush, ... probably also Stuff like Wishbone ash, Yes , ... ? i would highly recommed You to listen to "Mark of the Beast" from Manilla Road. I don't want to explain further, just give it a try!
Well, you can make another battle jacket. =P
I have a jacket with a few classic rock patches but since I have my Led Zeppelin Back patch on it, there is no room for this hawkwind patch to go on it.
I have a bunch of patches that have cost me an arm and a leg in the past. I just need to buy a vest.
Of course I like Yes and Wishbone ash; as a matter fact, I am more fond of classic rock than metal lol =D
Since my laptop doesn't play music anymore, I have to wait till I get home to try it out on my phone.
Indeed.... but first i would have to get this Patch. And 5 Jackets, i do not know haha...
Well if You ever want to get rid of this one, You know where to find me ;)
Ha, yeah i read that on Your profile actually. That's why i mentioned them. also stuff like old Genesis, Eloy, ... ?
But please only with decent headphones! Everything else would do this masterpiece no justice and would surely prove unworthy!!
Letting go of my Hawkwind patch would be too painful to do I managed to. find it on Etsy. I had better luck finding vintage Black Sabbath paranoid patches than the HW back patch. It's a band that really changed the way I see music.
As for manila road, I'm listening to their "Mark of the beast" album right now. For a heavy metal band, they sound amazing and old-fashion. I can definitely hear some 70s influences on it. I think of a band but can't get the name on my head..
Yeah, definitely. I listen to both versions of Genesis ( Peter Gabriel and Phil COllins era) and Eloy. In fact, I have almost all of their albums. I told you about some of their other albums. I also like some of Camel's albums like Snowgoose, Mirage, and their self-titled album.
Ah of course, that was You, haha. Probably because You had the Doremifasolatido Avatar before i didn't realize it. Right, we also talked about Came, Far Out, Flower Travellin Band, and so on, Hi, man! Haha
Well, Manilla Road - and Epic Metal in General - has very, very strong roots in and ties to 70s and even 60s Rock. Songs like Lizzy's Emerald are for many people something like Blueprints for later Epic Metal, it has all the trademarks already. Epic melodies, galopping rhythm, a Fantasy Story, ... hehe
I did not recommend them to You without a reason. ;)
Hey bro, my bad for not getting back to you earlier. I had forgotten that you had recommended something here lol.
I did enjoy MR greatly, and they have a lenient sound. Low-key, I didn't expect to hear such influences in a heavy metal band. I rarely hear something that unique.
Let me check that link out. lol

Try this one for example aswell, it is from their second album 1982, and very easy to hear the 70s influences:
