Well, here we have Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm....as much as I didn't want it on cd, I hate it even more if it's not in my collection, because it's a really great album. I went back to the store that I first got it from and purchased it pfft, anyways, so this time it stays haha! I just don't have the ability to get it on LP right now, but in due time I predict that happening.I do really like the layout of the cd inserts for this album, the artwork is by Antichrist Kramer, entitled " Declination Ascension Commencement of the Dark Crowned King". I'll post my Inquisition alter set, with the albums, next chance I get
Got a photo of the insert with Dagon and Incubus as well, these christ crushing fuckers are coming to my city next year and I couldn't be more happy about that. It's bound to be a ritualistic night of ominous glory, well abigail fucking williams aside.....fuck that band. Too bad It couldn't be "Inquisition, Dark Funeral and Belphegor" that would have blown my mind all over the place
I also decided to get one of the few Carpathian Forest album's I enjoy 100%. Defending the Throne of Evil is definitely different from some of their other work, but the album is fucking great. It's filthy and fast and uncompromising hateful black metal, just the way I often like it!Nattefrost is a strong vocalist. I suppose I might invest in "Strange old Brew"(inside joke between me and a group as well, you raise the chalice and drink "strange old brew"...haha....uhh ok, anyways) sometime next year.
I snapped the photo of the two together as it's more interesting and for most people who are familiar with this Carpathian Forest album, they will note that I took a photo of that album with the insert beside the disc, not the cover as the cover looks almost the same as the disc.
I also took a photo of the back, it's not particularly interesting...but it's just part of the cd, so why not?

Will anyone here be at the Dark Funeral and Inquisition show here in BC? Just curious. I'ts going to be awesome, I'll also be at Impiety....but how much of that night I'll be wary of is uncertain...it will be equally chaotic, for some reason, I'm more likely to enjoy drinks with war type black metal and death, such as Impiety/Tyrants Blood/Mitochondrion/Auroch, than a band like Inquisition....I think seeing Dagon and Incubus perform live is just going to be an altering experience. It will require my full focus.
These are both great albums.
Defending the Throne of Evil was one of my first black metal albums, and one of the first cd i bought at a recordshop. My favorite Carpathian Forest Album.
"Ominous..." is one of the best black metal albums to come out since 2010, and along with the new Ravencult album and "Inferno of Sacred Destruction," its one of my favorite modern black metal albums. The songs are wildly different and its easy to listen to the cd over and over again.
BLACK....SPELL....CALLS....DEATH!
I agree, cheers for taking a look!
Ravencult is also wonderful, but I have yet to see their albums appear in my local record store, still, I found another local record store that had a few metal cd's and demos at the back and last time I went there, I found an old Urgehal cd in there, so I might frequent there more often if I can't find it at the first place.
Defending The Trone of Evil is my favorite CF album a well, and as for "Omnious...", it fucking kicks ass as well, so great pack!
