A few minor fixes before W:O:A and BrutalAssault
Fri, 07/09/2010 - 19:36 — DoctorDeathFixed a few issues with the site until the major upgrade happens in september based on the feedback from the "Ideas to improve tshirtslayer" poll, thanks everyone!
RIP Ronnie James Dio
Mon, 05/17/2010 - 10:52 — DoctorDeath As many of you have heard, Ronnie James Dio passed away this morning, We would not have any of the metal we have today if not for a lot of pioneering that Dio done from the days all the way back when he left Deep Purple to the new Black Sabbath heaven and hell lineup.
Rip Peter Steele - Type O Negative..
Fri, 04/16/2010 - 09:05 — DoctorDeath
Those of you may or may not have heard, Peter Steele from Carnivore / Type O Negative is dead (no, really really Dead, as opposed to his fake death before he went into rehab), who can forget such classics as Christian Woman, and The Origin Of the Feces and October Rust albums!
Better search results and new "artists" section!
Sun, 02/28/2010 - 01:30 — DoctorDeathAs the title suggests, I have modded the site with better search results (now includes the tshirt picture, so its good for searching comments etc) and i've finally introduced the new "artists" section! So, far, just beginning with the legendary Pushead, however, soon to come will be Doris White and Gery Nible (hopefully including an exclusive interview talking about his times working with Slayer!)
Also improved the spam detection in the comments, fuck them!!!!
Zero tollerance for overly negative comments
Mon, 12/14/2009 - 13:17 — DoctorDeathAlrite everyone, zero tollerence for people who troll or make someones life miserable, if you don't like a certain tshirt then just vote it down, if you don't like someone's battle jacket, then just ignore it. I will be deleting comments where the comment poster is just bitching about someone else or the item that was added, yes, slipknot can stay although i think i'll seperate these kind of borderline bands into their own category that doesnt show up with the rest of the metal.
Favorites and larger images..
Sun, 10/18/2009 - 22:59 — DoctorDeathAccording to google analytics, 25% of you lot are running at 1024x768 resolution, so i was able to safely increase the image size by 100 pixels for viewing the item. hope you all enjoy that extra bigger image!
Have also added a 'favorite' feature so you can add favorites to your user profile (Click on 'add to favorite' when viewing an item and then you can see them if you select 'favorite' on your 'My account' page)
tshirtslayer gets a newer, faster home
Mon, 10/12/2009 - 11:23 — DoctorDeathRecently tshirtslayer has been moved to a new home as the old server was getting a bit slow - some members were reporting page load times of nearly 10 seconds! we now have about 1 gigabyte of images and around 800 posts! thanks everyone for contributing!
The new tshirtslayer server should help us build our collection well into the future and hopefully not give us much pain and slowness :D
Stay metal,

Congratulations on discovering a great band! Scrolls and the self titled are their best if you like death metal/extreme thrash metal. I've always been partial to Blood World as well, it's more thrash than death and some of the songs are really good.

That vest looks great! And to aid you with your decision, heres my 2 cents... You can fill up a vest and it looks cool, it will cost you, but it's worth it in the end. OR, if you dont want to that's cool to, vests without shitloads of patches on them look cool too. It's all about if you want simplicity or complexity. For example I have a completely filled vest, and I also have another vest with only a back patch and a front patch. I like both for different reasons, the complex one for shows, and the non complex one for public wear. It's up to you. So far, it looks good, make it how YOU want it. Good luck dude.

I have been seeing a ton of Mortification entries lately, and since I really dig Christian metal, I thought I would check them out. Thanks for this post, you just helped me discover a great band. 5 STARS!!! Im planning on spending the night listening to this whole album.

(that Whitesnake LP is way cool...the guitar tone on that record is otherworldly)

Awesome collection. All that stuff is fantastic. @metallicane I would sincerely recommend hearing the Dave Mustaine-produced Sanctuary 'Refuge Denied' and also the 2nd album 'Into the Mirror Black' *before* getting into Nevermore. Sanctuary was KILLER...Nevermore is a more modern beast - I've seen both bands live, and Warrel Dane is a great vocalist...but there was magic in Sanctuary that Nevermore will never manage to re-ignite.
