This upload is dedicated to all the Burzum haters on the site, anyone with a sense of humor, as well as anyone with a lack of it. Enjoy!
(The pink color is a nice touch, you gotta agree...just like the posercorpse Deathcrush).
Ok joking aside. This is the Necropolis Records compilation whose purpose is obvious from its title. Not only does it collect the cream of the crop in early 90's Norwegian/Swedish bands siding with Mayhem, but the booklet also contains their statements, testimonies, and reactions - making it a veritable time capsule of 1994 Nordic underground vibes in the wake of the killing. Not only a musical, but ideological and historic document as well. There are more pages here than I could take a photo of. This compilation had been my first introduction to many of the bands featured in it.

I have been considering to buy that WoI patch as well but I have just been too lazy to order it, haha.
Blüdrayne said: :( i'll check back in a week. i should be doing my assignments anyway.
R.J. said: Damn that shit is overpriced. It's only $4 through FPR ($3 for the smaller patches) and $1.25 for shipping on multiple patches.
R.J. said: I have this shirt and the outer isolation shirt from the tour. This one looks the same. Can't wait for these guys to come back through here later this summer.

R.J. said: Ohh, you know what.. They said they were going to be closed for about a week or so. :(
dungeonvic said: Really? A shame, I saw quite a few of the villagers ;) I was wearing the No Place for Disgrace shirt, so if you saw that, that was me :P
If I can make it to the Sacred Reich gig we're gonna meet for sure!

Thanks for the welcome! :) I see your collection has grown. Killer Bruce Dickinson shirt (I was there too and I also do not remember any merch sold). Great Chaos AD, Annihilator shirts and that utterly awesome Doris jersey. I've been musing about getting one fsince they brought it in their shop but I hate the postage...
...there's a slight chance we might talk at the Sacred Reich gig :)

I need to get this!
I've seen it around every once in a while on Ebay, but don't forget about international Ebay sites that have different listings there!
5 flames for anti-Varg disc!
Haha thanks! ain't it a ray of sunshine and joy
I'm not really for or against either person. But all the "no ___" phrases describe Euronymous; from everything I've heard about him. But none of us could know. All anyone of us can do is hear what Varg or the media has to say about it. Very interesting CD here, historical. Interesting to see the way so many people in the black metal scene were impacted by the killing. I actually just watched "Until the Light Takes Us".
This is the full documentary:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv6KwhJ200o
dude i watched that two nights back...... on the same link
I laughed so hard when I saw the part where Varg is imitating the other prisoners getting their medicine, shaking his arms all around saying "MEDICINE!!", hahahah.
I'm neither anti Varg or pro Varg (for me it's all about the music, yet when he writes about the early intent behind Burzum or about Norse mythology itself I tend to enjoy the creative thoughts even if I don't always agree on the latter), but I'm no fan of Euronymous as a person after what I've read about him. On one hand, he is certainly to be credited with organization skills to get the early 90s underground connected and networking together. But he seems a major asshole with the way he treated Dead (both alive and postmortem) with a big mouth and not much to back it up. He was also a communist - little known fact - and he signed his letters with inclusion of hammer and sickle, as well as writing "Stalin" in Russian next to it. I don't know if the guy was aware that Stalin killed close to 20.000.000 (millions!) of people in his Gulags - but then again, that's pretty "metal". Varg gets bashed even to this day in the mainstream for being a Nazi skinhead (I'm unconvinced how sincere he has been in his shock tactics tho), but no one bashes Euronymous for being a Stalin lover... (I have seen scans of his letters and can attest to those signatures).
But I'm not into taking sides in their 90s teenage angst squabbles. But a really fascinating time period to look into. Thanks for the link, I didn't know the whole thing is on youtube! I've heard it told so many times in so many ways that it's curious to see if there's any refreshing perspectives in this one.
Yep, very interesting, the part where Varg talks about the killing encounter is the same thing that the Burzum website says. But much of the other stuff was more or less new to me. I guess I never really checked out the "ground zero" of the black metal scene much, so to say. It's funny that kids would recognize many of the band members hanging out in the corner, after walking into the Helvete shop. Haha, telling their friends they saw Fenriz or somebody.
I really should pay more attention to the 'other' section.. fuck this is awesome!
Thanks, ain't it? I found it staring at me from a used cd rack of a local metal shop nearly a decade ago, was among some of the first metal cd's in my collection. When I get the time I'll upload my stash of Mayhem bootlegs too!
you cant go past mysticum, fucking great.
Nah Burzum all the way. X)
But cool CD.
I'm with ya on both accounts xD
Greatttttttt cddddddddddddddddddd!!!!
Thanks man!
