I know that most of the people believe that "St. Anger" is a crap album but for me this shirt holds a special place in my heart. In the Summer of 2003 Metallica did a small European tour and to celebrate the release of the album played three club shows in one day in Paris, France. I had the chance of attending the second and the third show, so there you go.

It's a great looking shirt! As much as I love Metallica, I don't really like St.Anger. A few good songs on it but the snare kills the rest..

I dont get it. Why people are bitching about the snare drum on this record? If the records name is st.anger imo that snare sounds angry as hell and fits in to this cd perfectly.

If he had played with trash cans and oil barrels the drums would have sounded better. For the millions of dollars spent on this album, it sounds worse that some band's cheap, no budget demo tape. The lack of guitar solos, since solos weren't cool at the time, are also very noticeable. Parts of the songs are empty and in need of some strong lead work. Guitar leads are part of the songwriting process for heavy metal and this CD was in dire need of them. The songs themselves sound unfinished and rushed, which is ridiculous considering the amount of time between albums. The whole thing is a great big catastrophe.
On the other hand, St. Anger features the most honest vocal performance from James since Ride the Lightning.

what drums?? they are no drums, all is a fucking tic-tac, sorry man but this is the worst album of the band, fuck new metallica.

Definitely a controversial album, great looking shirt though. I actually find myself liking about 5-6 songs from this album, some are downright unlistenable but a couple of them are decent. But yes, the snare is hard to look pass.

5 flames for not giving a fuck! Sure Metallica doesn't sound like what they used to be but that happens over time. Especially a band that has been around that long! Sure everyone is entitled to an opinion whether they like it or not. Personally i liked this album. Not as much as their classic albums (obviously!) but imo there were some good songs on St. Anger. I always thought the artwork was cool too! awesome shirt!
