I've been working at it for a few months now- it's not 'finished,' but it's pretty complete. I'm still going to put on a Symphony X official patch, and hopefully get a couple of custom embroidered ones of bands I just need to put on there, but most of the work has been done.
My main influence was HeathenThrone's kutte, it's a work of art- if you haven't seen it already, find it here on Tshirtslayer.

Thanks man! Ive moved it since then to put a Mucicpal Waste patch in it's place. Nothing to do with which band I like more, I just liked how the Arcturus patch looks where it is now, and visa versa. But your vest is awesome all around, good placement and a good veriety of bands! I like when people dont single-genre their vests.

My favourite bands would be Kiuas, Pain of Salvation and Symphony X- and none of them really have "prime" placement on my vest anyway- I thought about it at first but when I really got going I didn't care.
I wouldn't be able to "single-genre" my vest very easily because most of my favourite bands end up being blends of genres- like Kiuas or Ayreon or whoever, prog/power, melodic black/folk and so on.

Oh, it's a custom printed one by the Mad Patcher.
I've had the patches for a while but haven't worn them out much, so I'll drop a line in half a year as to whether the patches have faded or not.
I sprayed them with a good deal of some protective coating a few times, so they should last a bit I hope.

I can't remember, but it's an official one and rather easy to come by. You'll find plenty of places that'll sell it from a simple google search, but of course the trick is to find it on a site with lots of other patches you want- though postage for patches is relatively cheap anyhow.

Not yet- I've been thinking of replacing (and/or adding) a couple with some blackened folk/viking/celtic patches- I can also stud it a bit but I haven't set my mind on any changes yet, though it is inevitable that it will evolve.

wow, 2 primordial patch, fucking great! but is the backpatch from a t shirt, just bought mine after long of research and waiting, you've got some patch i want like Melechesh, Agalloch or septicflesh. Check out mine, we have common tastes, i have a rare sigh patch and a limited edition watain (who came with their latest cd)
You got an awesome kutte man, I love the Sigh patch and Enslaved backpatch, and ordered the SymX one a while back but it looks like I'll have to grab it off another website.
In regards to the Primordial backpatch, I actually mailed Nemtheanga and he told me that there were some at http://www.metalboerse.de/ (both the ones I used), so I snapped up a couple of the backpatches and a small patch.
The backpatch texture quality isn't great but it'll hold up.
thanks mate! i've never seen other vest with Enslaved backpatch, so i'm a bit original on that point. Man, Metalboerse is awesome, i would have bought a patch from there if i would have know! i'll have to work on my german
i've just updated mine with some more patches, the Primordial one is not so great, but it fits well i guess
I like the earth tones of the backpatch being matched with the Kiuas patch on top, a nice and unique color scheme that goes with the folk influences on this vest instead of the standard black-and-white stuff. The vest gives a vibe of being well thought out and not cluttered, and great bands you have here too, so it's an obvious five flames!

Only my female friends carry cameras when they go out I'm afraid, and I don't hit any heavy metal gigs with them.
This reminds me though, I've made some edits, and once I'm done with a couple more then I'll upload my updated one.
