Twisted Sister drummer A.J. Pero has died of what seems to be a heart attack. He was 55. This is a huge shock for me as Twisted Sister was one of the first metal bands I got into and a huge part of my early years as a metalhead (9/10/11 years old). May he R.I.P.

Not really a fan of Twisted Sister, but very sad nonetheless.

Yet another one, these last 7-8 years were fucking lethal for metal, unbelieveable :/ RIP A.J.

I'm afraid that in the next 10-20 years we will lose most of our heavy metal idols :-( Time waits for no one, like a Megadeth song says.
R.I.P. :-(

You said it! While I've always been into metal (even when I didn't know what it was thanks to my dad), it seems that since I've been going to metal shows and really involved in the scene and what not (9/10 years old) is when we really started losing guys. We've lost Dio, Seth Putnam, Peter Steele, Jon Lord, Jeff Hanneman, Dave Brockie, Jani Lane, and now A.J. Pero. It's crazy to see these guys go.

R.I.P, I had the chance to meet him the only time I saw Twisted Sister. Even though he was tired from playing a long set, he came out anyways and signed autographs for the small group of fans that were taken backstage. This is truly a sad day for me because I am the huge fan of the band and there music helped me through tough times. Rest in Peace AJ and the fire still burns.

I'm seeing TS this summer (unless they cancel their tour because of AJ), but it sucks that I won't see the full classic lineup.
