I've seen Megadave well over 10 times. And I'm really sick of the Christian-friendly generic set list that gets done these days. Ill miss this. Besides, this tour is just a warm up gig before the new album drops and they embark on a full scale world tour - they'll be back again in around a year during their official tour cycle. I've seen this happen before.
Played Hordern Pavillion in Sydney on 18th (same price tickets as Brissy $95) and first time they've played 'Fatal Illusion' live ... says Dave that is ... and agree pretty much a warm up gig. Didn't go though.
I went - I was given a free ticket. Easily one of the worst gigs I've ever been too. They sounded fucking awful! Whoever was doing the mixer board should be shot. It's wasn't till the last 3 songs or so where they actually sounded half decent. It was the second time they played Fatal Illusion - first time was in Perth.
The vids of Dave preamble were Perth, not Sydney, my mistake on that. Perth was first ever, thanks for correction. Shame about the sound, Megadeth usually good, a friend said they were using local staff, even so, not an excuse.
I was at hte melb show and it was good. I am still a hugh megadeth fan. the set list could have been better, but it was still alright. I think tickets were over priced. 65 or 70 bucks would have been fair.
the tour shit kicks ass!

Brissy had a shit sound as well. All you could hear is the shitty double bass drums. Love Megadeth, however, it was a weak show. Glad I went though..
