Flying the flag on your jacket

I don't see the point - If I go abroad for a festival, I don't need to be noticed by other Finns, I'm escaping from them! And neither do I need to be categorized as Finnish, I don't give a fuck. And when I talk to others, I will ask where they are from in case I'm interested, they don't need to carry a flag for that information in my opinion.

i will never put the italian flag on my jacket for two reason: 1: fascists use to have it on their jackets. 2: i'm totally ashamed of my country ahahahahahaha

Finns are probably the worst possible kind of tourists, so I try my best not to be recognized as one of 'them'.

I've got the flag of Drenthe on my jacket, it's the province I live in.

I'll answer if someone asks where I'm from. I'm not really sporting my homeland, because I don't really care about it. I'm not that patriotic that everyone should know where I'm from...

Keeping my vests/jackets band-only.

Well i was never especially patriotic anyway. my experiences in the army just made me feel even less so, amazingly. though i would understand why someone would do so.

I don't think it's a problem putting it on there. I myself would choose not to b/c it's a metal kutte, not a political kutte. But representing your home country isn't a bad thing either.

No patches, but I proudly wear my Polska shirts underneath my battle jacket.

I have the flag of Vinnland/Vinland on my vest, but that's more of an homage to Type O Negative...

I used to have a canadian flag patch on my jacket, but i took it off because i havent ventured out of canada with my jacket at all. but i do notice that alot of people have like a norway or sweden or finnland flag patch, but arent from any of those countries, it kid of annoys me.

Just put Old Glory on my vest last night.

I live in the U.S. and was born here, but I am of British descent (and hold British citizenship by descent) so I've been thinking of getting a Union Jack for my vest, because I've always been fascinated with the land of my ancestors and I really hope to go someday

I have the philippines flag on my jacket .... mostly cause everyone thinks im mexican or samoan

I think everyone should be proud to an at least tiny extent of where they were born or come from...it is only when you leave you realise how much it means to you...how much better things are over in your country than others.

i got two on mine:
the dutch one and the flag of Brabant (wich is the southern province)

I have the American flag on both my camo ones (Woodland and Gulf War era Desert).

I think it's awesome to put the flag on your battlejacket. Lets people know that you are from that country and that you're proud of it.

So, I say go for it!

im planning on putting the Betsy Ross US Flag, California flag, Colorado Flag(maybe) and Italian flag on mine

I'm discovering my roots are a bit more varied than I first thought, with that being said....my leather currently has a Canadian Flag patch on it, a Costa Rican flag...and I might put a small Spanish coat of arms for the family clan I have roots to.....
I should really upload my leather...but maybe around october, summer is too gross to wear or work on this project....

Got no issue with it but imo metal transcends borders so no flags on mine.
