E tuning is my favorite. Eb and D tuning are also pretty good. Any lower I don't like.

i love slayers half step down....i think thats Eb. and i like C tuning because of venom. D is alright....drop B is just to fucked up to listen to...
I like playing in standard, half step down and dropped D.

Honestly, I have no preference. I've been playing guitar for years now, and have yet to venture outside of standard tuning very often. That sort of thing has never really appealed to me. I don't know why.
I like c standard just for the dark sound it produces. You don't lose the feeling of the strings like you do with lower tunings like drop a but it still remains heavy as shit

I just do whatever I want, I have a Morpheus Droptune pedal that I use for my Floyd Rose equipped LTD Mh-250.
But I am buying some .012's to set my tune-o-matic bridged Ltd H-100FM to C so I can venture either up or down as I prefer.

I've experimented a lot with different tunings when I was first starting out about 10 years ago, drop A was intense to say the least, but now I'm happy with E standard and B standard.

STANDARDDDDD or sometimes ill drop it a few steps when im jammin doom metal.
D, C#, and on my acoustic G (using 14's for that). If I want E standard I'll pop a capo on.

I experiment with a lot of tunings between A and C standard...but currently I tune my ESP to A standard with my HM-2. Can't go wrong there!
