if you have a sense of humor - I think it's quite funny. like, how the logos were "appropriated" ;)

Hahaha. Anthrax, G.B.H., Gamma Ray, Slayer, Subhumans, and a somewhat Profanator style logo font. OK, it's fine if their paying tribute to metal bands they happen to like but it's another just to use logos that they think "look cool". If I had a band that used an Iron Angel type font for the logo, that would be because we REALLY like Iron Angel, consider them a big influence, and just want to pay respect. I don't know about this though because I don't know the minds behind this. It's very ironic that an Anthrax type logo is one there when you look at the fact that they collaborated with Public Enemy in the early 1990's. Anthrax: A band whose early works I still love. But, they are to blame for the idea of the rap/metal combo. If you like rap then fine. To each his own. I just can't get into it. Sad enough some dingle berry would think "oh,that's just because you're racist". Oh, shut the fuck up! There are plenty of blacks in the metal community (i.e. Katon of Hirax, Caller of the Storms of Blasphemy, and some members of Suffocation. Even Demolition Hammer had a member when they where around.). Even outside of the metal I listen to, there are a lot of bands that have members of a different skin color, ethnicity, etc. Who do you ask? Answer: BAD BRAINS (founders of the Rastafarian punk movement). One of the original members of the Dead Kennedy's is black. It's the sound I don't care for when it comes to rap, not their skin color. Anyway, I will just see this as a failed experiment at best and nothing more. A good morning laugh!

Rap is not a problem, the fact that these are those glittery mtv "rap" is what pisses us off. I love oldschool hip-hop and I actually happen to own couple of Public Enemy and RUN-D.M.C albums.
Aaliyah can shake her booty in hell!

I can agree. Even though I'm not a fan of the music, it seems that rap was less polluted by the mainstream back in its heyday and had more value and merit. Even if people try to bring it back to its roots, it will most likely fall on deaf ears with the over-abundance of the MTV crowd (with the exception of the "triple thrash treat" on the old Headbangers Ball and Beavis and Butthead, MTV has mostly sucked no matter the generation). Same applies to metal and most other forms of music that have been around for a while. I laughed really hard at that last part. The thing is even Satan doesn't want her booty (probably because Satan has homosexual tendencies according to South Park. haha)!

I wonder if they weren't too sure about keeping the eagle in the Snoop Dog style Slayer logo? Either that's part of the theme since it has dogs in the background or it went like this: "It looks like the eagle of the Third Reich, we can't have that because people will think Snoop Dog is an anti-Semite". hahaha

I guess we can look at it one of two ways: A) get pissed off cuz they're ripping off of metal style or B) see it as an homage to metal style.
wehavearrived49 on
It would be interesting if it's the second one. But if it's the first then oh well. Shit happens.

I guess it's all cool, as long as Justin Bieber doesn't start wearing a kutte. Uh oh... http://1980andbeyond.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/justin-bieber-bet-aw...

hahaha. We had a name for kids like him in my grade school days and it was DWEEB. As funny as it may seem and even if he does, he's not apart of our community anyway. So, it really doesn't have a serious effect on us. TS will still be running regardless of what this spoiled brat does. So, these Hollywood cretins can go masturbate and put a noose around their neck at the same time for all I care.

I've seen a kutte like this in real life. It had pop stars names with 'metal' logos.
