Enforcer Updated denim!

THMManiac
Mon, 09/05/2016 - 23:49

this is what i have so far. Im buying a denim soon, leaving the sleeves on and only putting a handful of these patches on. And dont worry about the stupid placement of the skull fist logo, the asymmetry also brings out my inner OCD.

Not for sale or trade

I couldnt decide where to Place Possessed, or the Remote. im sure i will find a place.

Chainbreaker's picture

XD Hehe, just saw this comment! I think you should cut the Enforcer strip on the bottom, since they are already on the front and sew the remote in it's place.;-)

Potatoes_Misfit15's picture

That's insane dude love the layout \m/ do you have the back done also?

THMManiac's picture

thanks! my vest is nowhere near as insane as some people's vests on this site. And I do not have the back done, because im in the process of converting an Angel witch self titled shirt into a back patch :) cheers.

Honestly you should keep Skull Fist where it is, it looks sick. But that green Eliminator logo is pretty off-setting. Maybe try shaping it with a razor and lighter so it doesn't overlap as much?

THMManiac's picture

the eliminator patch doesnt bother me as much, and i would never take a razor to a patch like that. Maybe if it were printed. I also want something there because sepultura seems to attract a lot of idiot's attention. Curious to see how many so called fans know what it is without the logo there.

Blüdrayne's picture

Beneath the Remains is very fucking well known. If it's attracting attention with idiots who don't know the cover without a band name, you're the one mixing with the wrong people.

THMManiac's picture

It really doesnt need to go this far man haha. I want to just show the artwork for the album. Get over it. Also, that sepultura logo is shit anyways, always thought it was. the logo from schizophrenia would have looked much better. I was just saying, rather than some wigger coming up to me and saying "ohh hey man sepultura", i would rather have just the album art shown to people.

Blüdrayne's picture

Well what I might have done is get a logo patch of the old logo and sewed over the new logo.

THMManiac's picture

Fair enough! oddly enough, i have a beneath the remains patch with a shitty logo, and a shitty tribal sepultura patch with the great schizo logo. I might take you up on that idea

Blüdrayne's picture

No problem. I'm not the first to do that.

Some kick ass bands mate, Can't wait to see the back!

Gave you three because you're doing well ;)

THMManiac's picture

hahaha right on I got nater90's 3 stars. Im doing OK people!

Nater90's picture

Haha, True that bro.

THMManiac's picture

It is definitley how i wanted it .

THMManiac's picture

Whether or not i will tear it up in the future doesnt determine if this is how i wanted my vest today.

THMManiac's picture

Theres some semi-intelligent criticism i can accept. but "no, you dont want that layout"? hahahahahaha

19Philthy16's picture

Totally agree with you guys! In "Taste" is neither right nor wrong! What you like or dislike is nothing that need to be justified by anything, in my opinion! All this "rules" and whatever in how a fucking kutte should look like honestly makes me sick! As Nater once said, this should reflect your personality and nothing else, and whether it suits my personal feeling of aesthetics is totally my problem (or not^^). So, 5 flames for the neet craftsmanship it took to arrange the patches the way you wanted it! Keen to see how the back turns out! Keep going on, dude!

Like I said before we are talking battle jackets here. If you want to worry about something don't let it be how mediocre society has become, but make it something that truly matters. Don't waste your time trying to make battle jackets more eye-pleasing and crushing some kids dream in the process.

Der Todesking's picture

Totally agree with you Chainbreaker!

Blüdrayne's picture

Well why don't you explain your opinion as well then.

Chainbreaker's picture

I can understand what you are saying and I agree with you on the scale that you're mentioning, but I just couldn't be bothered with something so trivial as saying to somebody he didn't put enough effort in his battle jacket. The day that you are forming an army to wipe out the total decadence and decline of society give me a call.

Chainbreaker's picture

I know that you mean well because we've already spoken a couple of times on this site and I know that you are actually a nice guy, but not everybody knows this. You have to understand that these kind of comments actually have the opposite effect and don't change a thing, except maybe make you unpopular. Ok, I'll be ready when you do.;-)

Vectrex's picture

Don't see the problem if he likes that layout, thats why he made it like that in the first place. Whats the problem? Your criticism may be justified if he complains about how he tried to made it look good but didn't succeed. "Perfect" is just an illusion and no human beeing or any living aspect can ever reach that concept. In our world exists no perfection because all has evolved the way it is for a reason (which is survival of the fittest, and it will change for the sake of this purpose if it has to). If it comes to art like music, drawing etc. there can never be perfection because art is 100% subjective. And i include designing a battle jacket to this. It's just an expression of a personal taste.

THMManiac's picture

can we just drop the whole "art" thing? im not pretentious enough to consider sewing fabric to fabric part of my "artistic" abilities. c'mon now.

THMManiac's picture

Me too. I woke up to a complete shit show!

formezzano's picture

the jacket itself is nice, the patches too except for the green one on top of death cult,ou should change that, that's my opinion

yo , dudes, ts not that big of a deal. i encourage criticism. What i don't encourage is half assed remarks like "No, you don't want that layout", trying to pass ass "criticism", this type of remark is what was made in the very beginning of this post. Go ahead criticize me, but don't feel entitled enough to think that your criticism is supposed to mean shit to me, especially if it has nothing constructive to offer. On top of that, don't think your own criticism is free of my criticism because that is ultimately the problem here. ive noticed there are two really cancerous types of people on this site, the first one being the guy who cannot accept any criticism under any circumstance, and the second one being the guy who feels like his criticism should impact everybody and be taken seriously at all times. When one of those people gets into a comment box, aaaaaalll hell breaks loose :) . If youre going to criticize me, please , take it a little further than "I dont like that, you dont like that, please change it".

Chainbreaker's picture

Hey man, sorry for being part of the ones who fucked up your board. You are absolutely right. Nothing wrong with a little positive criticism, maybe I expressed myself wrong in that regard. Seems like you got some also on shaping the Eliminator, you said no and that was the end of it. This is how it should be. But like you said, saying "your lay-out is lazy and I don't like it" really contributes nothing. And that for me is the end of it.;-)

Totally agree on the critism aspect! For me every opinion has its eligibility, whether I like it or not. But there's, at least for me, a line between constructive critism and judgement. Constructive comments for me need to have a respectful basis. And whether someone puts effort in his work, is something that one can only assess themself. I don't think there is one form of aesthetics that is the "right" one. Maybe the discussion wasn't meant to be that way in the beginning, but that's how I perceived it.

19Philthy16's picture

I guess we maybe have different approaches, what we mean with "aesthetics" and concepts related to those. Each concept is clearly defined, and therefore one can say whether an objects fits to one aesthetic concept. But I never heard of a general accepted and empirically based concept that defines how a battlejacket should look like.
