Hey all,
So here it is, the preview of my first battle jacket. I constantly see people wearing them at gigs and festivals and I was thinking to myself 'I MUST have one'! All patches are currently pinned down until I get the ideal layout so I just thought I would upload it for all to see. Might put some studs in some places, too. Any suggestions or comments will be much appreciated (try to go easy on me, though haha).
Looking to do another project in the future with a flecktarn shirt/jacket but I would like to finish this, first.

I got the same Sodom, Immortal, and Haunted patches, so what can I say - very nice start! Go ahead and sew that stuff down, the placements are intuitive and work well, and if you wanna change anything in future it's not like it's glued down :)

Haha yeah me too, man. I saw them at Bloodstock 2010 and they played a pretty decent set and I went through a phase of listening to them a lot. Everybody has a soft side for a band and for me, that's Fear Factory and I'm glad that its not just me haha. Thanks for your comment mate!
That Týr patch is fucking awesome, and i'd say you could put the square ones in the front bottom closer to each other, so that you have more space available for even more patches!
Hey man, thanks for the advice. It'll be a lot easier to re-arrange because I have it pinned down so I will definitely make more space soon. About to order some more patches in a bit so I will keep everybody updated.

Yeah Im keeping it pinned at the moment so I can re-arrange them all when I get more. This is now an old photo of my jacket so it looks completely different now (will include photos of the update soon).
The Morbid Angel patch has more of a dark blue/black edge but the camera has just made it look a bit lighter.

If you keep them pined and take it to a show people will steal your patches. (or they will fall alone!)
But nice strategy, i hate when i have to move a patch, its time consuming. You are doing it pretty good for a starter but really, place square patches together, in the future you WILL add more patches. I had to completely relocate 1 section of my jacket.

Yeah I haven't wore this at a show just yet. I would not dare to with it only being pinned down haha. Looking to get it all done and sewn on in a few weeks time before I go to see Cannibal Corpse.
I have moved the square patches together and right the way down leaving absolutely loads of space for more and they have now been filled up. Ill get my camera ready and I will have the updates posted very soon.

I'd at least staple them on! One or two staples near each corner and the patches won't fall off that easily, but you can move them around on the jacket pretty fast.

I weave the pins through the corners of the patches so they wont fall off so easy. It definitely come in handy last night when I re-located a few patches. Once Ive made a decision Ill sew them all then I will show it off haha.
