After nearly like 8 years of having long hair... one day I just snapped. Some people like it, some people don't... but my personality was not interlaced with my hair, I assure you! Haha.

Holy shit! Wow, that just came out of nowhere! We're going in opposite directions. You suddenly went short, and I suddenly decided a couple of weeks ago to let my hair grow and grow. Well, just "follow your bliss" to quote Joseph Campbell.

Haha, it was kind of fun to surprise everybody, I have to say. Yes, I do miss it at times, but yeah like I said earlier, it was mostly an impulse to try something new. I can't honestly say I thought about it for too long, I'm that kind of person. There was no real deep inspiration behind it to be honest. For now, I'm happy with it... the one really negative comment I've hated so far was this douchebag who said I looked like that dumbass from the Counting Crows. Man... that guy might as well wear roadkill for hair, I DO NOT look like that, haha.

I'm wondering what one my favorite tshirtslayer slayer buddies likkedbydeath (I think I got that right, huh) is going to say about it, haha, I always look forward to her awesome comments.

It was only a few days ago, so yes I do sometimes forget and I go to like... grab the ponytail or whatnot and it's not there, haha. The morning after the hair cut I was like "was it a dream?"... hehe.

Your hair was awesome but hey if it makes you happy then why not just go with it. I keep saying I will never cut my hair but sometimes like 1% of me says do it because I don't like that my hair is really thin. I wish I had had your kind of thick/wavy hair but hey nothing I can do about it.

Fundraiser? You mean like an event for this? No no, haha. I donated it to Pantene. There are several places you can choose from to donate it here, but I chose them because somebody told me they don't charge cancer patients for their wigs. Anyway, yeah... that's what they do, they make wigs with human hair for cancer people.

Thanks doc, I suppose one thing that might have contributed to the decision (although it was actually after I thought about it) was that I live in a very hot AND humid place. My hair took a lot of fucking maintenance.

Sometimes I dream of a very short hair during the summers, but in winter I'd wish it to be long again... so I won't cut it all away. Hair of that length wouldn't look good on me so I'd probably take it all away if I had to cut my hair. Just yesterday I compared my current ponytail to the ponytail I had before starting my military service. My hair is now about the same length, but it used to be more fair coloured for some reason and the hair quality is now better.

after a long, I too snapped and told everyone with opinions on hair to f*** themselves...aha, but in all honesty, hair is an aesthetic and I know I never talk to you on here or anything, but I was aware of the length of your hair..and as much as it's admirable the amount of time that takes and why you had it that way, it's also cool to see more people in the scene respecting the clarity of their decisions. ..short hair seems fine to me and if cutting your drapes off, gave your mind a sense of breathing space, it was likely a good decision, so respect to you for that

I also decided to cut my hair 1 Year ago, but now it's growing again. I just miss whipping other people with my hair while headbanging, haha. :D
I would not wear my hair the way you do, but do whatever you want and don't let others dictate you what to do. That's the most important thing!

I don't think I've ever let another person dictate my decisions... ever. I'm not stubborn, I do listen to the opinions of those that I care about, but I ultimately decide for myself... because opinions and controlling statements are two very different things. Throughout most of my life I've learned through trial and error, and sitting back and studying the psychology of other people's mistakes through just being "that quiet kid" who would usually never speak, haha. Shit, now I'm rambling, whoops!
