japan trip

some of the pictures of my trip to Tokyo.
got to see some amazing bands, and met some of the nicest people.

i got invited to the LIFE rehearsaw when they heard i was in tokyo. and the members of MOB 47 stayed in the same guesthouse as me.
also got to hang out with members of Stagnation, Kafka, Associal Terror Fabrication, The Erections, Unarm, Systematic Death and more, aswell as punks from Finland, China, Korea, England and Amerika. (some also staying at the same guesthouse)

also some pictures i found online of me at some shows there.

just ate bread and/or chicken pretty much every day. asian food isnt my thing.
did eat some Yakitori.

nah, i honestly only got some buttons (Konosuba, Gakkou Gurashi, Bakemonogatari, Madoka Magika etc,) 2 Shintaro Kago artbooks, and a Shintaro Kago t-shirt.
looked everywhere for any Nymph merch, but i couln't even find anything from Sora No Otoshimono to begin with.. very dissapointing.
and those body pillows are just too expensive ;)

did see some anime character onaholes. remember seeing one of Galko chan <3

Shintaro Kago is amazing!! soo glad Nori showed me where to get those books! been one of my favorite Mangaka for ages!

It's fine I'm not overly into it either. There are some foods I have seen in Anime that I want to try like Sukiyaki and that meat you grill yourself, Fried octopus balls and if I am in Asia I want to get some dog, cat, and horse and a lot of rice!

goed engels niet, maar veel wel een beetje. sommige egt slecht, maar wat Japanse woordjes erdoorheen gooien en dan snapte ze het meestal wel. (kan zelf wel klein beetje japans verstaan)

thats cause some pics are taken in Akiba (i'm a fuckin nerd).. (like the first one)
i stayed in Koenji (very close to Record Boy and Base. spend most my time around Nakano and Shinjuku i guess. i havn't even been at the centre of tokyo.. just met up with diffrent punks every time since i was alone. or even just ran into them on the streets and get into conversations with them. every one of them asked if i saw GISM when they heard where i was from. they're jealous ^^
some barely spoke english, you know how that is over there, but we still managed to hold a conversation every time.
met a fiew aussies aswell. they tried to get met to go to Australia for the LIFE / Kromosom tour..

most boring place i've been was Waseda, went to a gig in Zone-B but decided to just go a little earlier and look around the area, but its just college and graveyards..

yeah, i find language doesnt matter so much when you have the same taste in music.
metal scene is the same over there, easy to meet new friends.

yeah, i met up with Hal the day before he went on the American tour, he gave me a record and some patches of his old band Dropend
there's soo many punks over there, its insane. but majority of them are 30 to 50 years old. not at many young people as here in europe (they also all thought i was 30/35 your old). but that does show the dedication these people have for the scene.
met up with a crustie that had grandchildren.
